Charles F. Ammeson is a partner in the law firm of Troff, Petzke
& Ammeson. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from CornellUniversity
in 1975 and his Law Degree, cum laude,
from the Notre DameLawSchool
in 1982. While in law school, he received the American
Jurisprudence Book Award for Real Property. Prior to joining the firm
he practiced law in Texas
and also worked for several Fortune 500 Companies in the field of
Employee Relations. Mr. Ammeson is admitted to the State Bar of
Michigan (1983), the U.S.
Federal District Court
(1983) and a member of the American Bar Association and the Berrien
County Bar Association (President, 1993-1994).
Mr. Ammeson has published in the fields of
Arbitration, Employment Law and Divorce Mediation. He authored,
"Unilateral Offers of Reemployment in Employment Litigation" for the
Michigan Bar Journal; and, co-authored "Divorce Mediation" for Volume 8A
of Michigan Pleading & Practice.

Mr. Ammeson focuses his
practice in the areas of Real Estate & Land Use Development and has
extensive litigation experience in many areas, including Personal
Injury/Wrongful Death, Civil Rights, Insurance, Business and Employment
Matters. He has successfully tried numerous types of injury cases
including automobile, defective product, ski, railroad, fire, toxic
chemical, burn, road design, watercraft, explosion and industrial
accidents.
In addition to his primary areas of focus, Mr. Ammeson has
been active in the developing field of Alternative Dispute Resolution.
He interned with numerous National Academy Arbitrators, and regularly
serves as a Labor Arbitrator/Fact Finder for the American Arbitration
Association and Michigan Employment Relations Commission. He is
also a member of several private party Arbitration Panels.
